Terms of Service

1. The service

Makan is a food-ordering service for pickup and delivery in Kingston, Jamaica. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to these terms. All prices are shown in Jamaican dollars (JMD).

2. Your account

You register with your name, phone number, and a password. Keep your password private — you are responsible for orders placed from your account. You must provide accurate contact details so we can reach you about your order.

3. Orders & payment

• An order is confirmed when the kitchen receives it; online (Fedha Pay) orders reach the kitchen once payment is confirmed.
• Cash is accepted for pickup orders only, payable at the counter.
• Menu prices, availability, and the delivery fee may change at any time; the price shown at checkout is what you pay.

4. Cancellations & refunds

You can cancel an order in the app while it's still marked "received". Once the kitchen starts cooking, call the store. If a paid order is cancelled, we'll arrange a refund of the amount paid.

5. Loyalty rewards

Completed orders earn loyalty meals which unlock rewards. Rewards have no cash value, can't be transferred, and may be adjusted or discontinued at our discretion.

6. Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service — no fraudulent orders, no harassment of staff or riders, no attempts to break or overload the platform. We may suspend accounts that do.

7. Liability

We work hard to get your food to you hot and on time, but the service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

8. Changes & contact
