Privacy Policy

What we collect

Makan keeps things simple. When you create an account or place an order, we store:

• Your name and phone number — so the kitchen and rider know who the food is for and can reach you.
• Your order history — what you ordered, when, delivery addresses you gave us, and any order notes.
• Loyalty progress — a count of completed meals used for rewards.

That's it. We do not collect email addresses, birthdays, location tracking, or advertising identifiers.

Payments

Card payments are handled by Fedha Pay, our payment gateway. Your card details go directly to Fedha Pay — card numbers are never stored on Makan servers. We only record whether an order was paid and a payment reference.

How we use your information

• Preparing, delivering, and tracking your orders.
• Contacting you about an order (e.g. the rider can't find your gate).
• Counting loyalty meals so you earn rewards.

We do not sell your information or share it with advertisers. Riders only see the details of orders assigned to them.

Retention & deleting your account

We keep your account details while your account is open. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Rewards → Delete account) or via the account deletion page.

When you delete your account, your name and phone number are removed and your account is closed permanently. Anonymized order records (items, amounts, dates) are retained for bookkeeping — they can no longer be linked to you.
